American Radio

My current love: American Radio by Carolina Rain

The first time I kissed Julianne in a Chevy Van
It was my old mans,
it was George Strait's baby blue.
And when she move back to San Jose, it was Missing You and Purple Rain
That I leaned on to get me through.
Its been the soundtrack to my life since I remember
My memories are all in stereo.

American radio, keeps me singing along, living my life to the words of the songs
Of lovers, dreamers and hopeless believers, like me.
No matter where I go I can always find an old friend somewhere there all the time
To sing me right back home on American radio

All I have to do is hear two notes, of give me three steps and im back on a boat with my Grandad in 1989 and all I need to hear are the first few words of Jumpin' Jack Flash or even Free Bird and I'm ready for a good time

American radio, keeps me singing along, living my life to the words of the songs
Of lovers, dreamers and hopeless believers, like me.
No matter where I go I can always find an old friend somewhere there all the time
To sing me right back home on American radio.

It was Randy Travis on the beach,
and Barry White in that back seat.
The ups and downs, my highs and lows, Ive lived them all in stereo, American radio

Well, I'm still singing along, making up half of the words to the songs
Of lovers and dreamers and hopeless believers like me.
No matter where I go I can always find an old friend somewhere there all the time
To sing me right back home (sing me home)

ya, Come on sing me right back home on American radio
American radio, American radio

Someday soon I'm going to change some of the lyrics to include MY songs that have literally gotten me through life.
